configuration is, 64 disk i/o - 32 cache.
Let me understand: if you are using 64K I/O you really don't need more
than 10-16 MB of cache. More cache MAY be causing you problem in that it
may force the PC to use too much VM.
Do this:
- Change the disk cache to 12 MB,
- Make sure that there is a line in your system configuration to limit the
dynamic Windows cache (or you will get playback for 10-60 seconds, then
"disk too slow."
This should easily get you full 16 tracks of playback.
