You need to hear what this thing does to the low end of a boomy acoustic guitar!"// {{image url="http://www.kerrygalloway.com/PARIS%20resources/multiband.jpg" title="Multiband" alt="Multiband"}} ====Controls explained:==== MultiBand looks more complex than it is; it's actually just three separate compressors, each assignable to a particular frequency band 1 = Low 2 = Mid 3 = High Each compressor's controls are the same (using band 1 as an example): **Threshold1:** unlike hardware compressors, NoLimit gives control over the ratio of dry/effected signal, permitting such uses as the blending of a compressed kick signal beneath the original uncompressed version to "stiffen" the kick without robbing dynamics. **Ratio1:** Sets the ratio of this band of the compressor **Attack1:** Sets the attack time of this band of the compressor **Release1:** Sets the release time of this band of the compressor **CompOut1:** - Sets the final output level of this band of the compressor **Solo:** solos this particular band for auditioning ---- There are three additional controls: **Low-to-mid x:** sets the crossover frequency between band 1 and 2 **Mid-to-high x:** sets the crossover frequency between band 2 and 3 **Lookahead:** - increases the overall amount of time "in advance" the plugin can calculate by introducing a slight delay of the signal, effectively "looking ahead" of the playback.
